The term entremet in French is used to mean a specific dessert. Canelé proposes a full range of pastries and cakes to end off any meal on a high note, or simply to be savoured at tea time.
Our unique compositions emphasise the play on contrasting textures and flavours. The "macha" is a delightful combination of green tea mascarpone mousse, combined with chestnut cream and green tea sponge cake, atop a square of almond crumble. Creamy and crunchy at the same time, this is a perfect example of complementary flavours.
L'Amour is another Canelé creation that highlights the play on textures. Imagine biting into layers of kirsch-flavoured almond cake, raspberry marmalade, rose petal cream, tangy fresh red berries, rose macarons and meringue... It's a veritable explosion of flavours on the palate. At the same time, the sensation of various creamy and crunchy textures assails the senses with pure bliss.
Not to be forgotten nor neglected, our Chocolat Classique is the epitome of traditional French chocolate cakes. It is baked to perfection, rich in velvety chocolate texture, lush and moist. We recommend that it be served warm with a generous dollop of creme chantilly, or vanilla ice cream.
